DTF printing costs: calculate the cost per T-shirt
What does a DTF print cost in colour ink, white ink and DTF film? Halftone 42 calculates it for every design and gang sheet – in millilitres and euros, using your prices. It also shows how much ink halftone screening and garment colour knockout save compared with solid printing.

- 2 · Prices€ per ml for colour and white ink, plus DTF film and powder per m².

Every dot you don’t print is a saving.
How Halftone 42 calculates costs
It counts how much of each print colour actually lands on the DTF film after halftone screening and knockout. White goes beneath every printed dot. The printed area and consumption per m² at full coverage give the millilitres; your prices give the cost. DTF film and powder are added according to the area used.
Most accurate with your own values
Print a test area, such as 10 × 10 cm, at full coverage and compare tank levels before and after. Enter your values under Preferences → Print Costs. Without your own values, typical DTF figures are used.
